-Fri. July 4th, Cornwall Independence Day Celebration and Craft Fair at the Cornwall Town Hall. Fireworks at dusk.
-Fri. July 4th , City of Newburgh Fireworks on the waterfront beginning at 9pm…also their annual carnival with food, festivities will be held all weekend long from Fri. July 4th-Sun. July 6th.

Walden's 3rd Annual Night Out Against Crime!
It’s Walden’s 3rd Annual Night Out Against Crime Event, Tues. Aug. 5th from 6pm-10pm at Bradley Park. Everyone is invited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of National Night Out with vendors, music, food, prizes and much more. This night is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for participation in local anticrime programs and more! Remember to keep your porch light lit on August 5th! N.F.A Class of 1958 holds 50 year class reunion!
N.F.A. class of 1958 will be holding their 50th anniversary reunion at the Powelton Club in Newburgh on Sept. 20, 2008. The icebreaker will be the night before one the 19th, at the River Grill on the waterfront in Newburgh. The Newburgh Ministry's 25th Anniversary
Plans are underway for the celebration of The Newburgh Ministry's 25th Anniversary. The Ministry is a multi-cultural community center located in the city of Newburgh's East End and is a beacon of hope and warmth. Hundreds of people have passed through its doors annually and offers a room, learn center, thrift shop and phone access-it also offers a referral service to other support agencies. Known as the "listening ear" to the impoverished, neglected, abused and those struggling addiction to drugs and alcohol the ministry continues to grow and continues to help the homeless.There will be two celebrations to commemorate their 25th anniversary- the first on Fri. July 25th a celebration at the ministry with a buffet followed by a service. Then the second on Thurs. Oct. 16th at the Meadowbrook Lodge beginning at 6:30pm with a cocktail hour and dinner. A tribute will be paid to Monsignor John Budwick of St. Patrick's Church and to Robert Culbreth a member of the community.
