John Roberts grew up listening to WGNY-AM 1220 never realizing he would become a part of that Historic Station. John went to school in New York and in Florida and had several career changes during college. First it was Marine Biology, then aspirations of becoming an Airline pilot, and finally settling on Broadcast Communications. John spent his early years at WGNY and several other local stations, moving to Television as a Newscaster in Pennsylvania, and then to ABC Radio in NYC, wanting to say “been there done that” but local radio has always been his favorite. John says “it is where we make a difference”
As for his early ambitions, John found the time to become a Multi-Engine Commercial Pilot, and was certified as a PADI Divemaster. Now he gets to play in the clouds and with the fish. |
